At the time of gestation near the end of week four,the soft sound of the heart beat will begin to sound. Although still a mini size the heart has been able to pump blood around the body of the embryo.

The heart come from a group of cells divided from endodermic layer that move and arrange themselves in such away that resembles the “U” letter. While the other cells around it spread in all direction to eventually form a network of blood vessel. A week later the blood will begin to fill vessels of ‘new’ heart.

Groups of cells close to the heart shoots rapidly divide to form the bumps as much as six pieces. One of this bulge is the precursor lower jaw, while the other five will form the neck bones and forming baby’s face bone.

Another group of cells located on the right and left side of the embryo looks swell and form a lump of meat like fish fins. That is the embryo of the hand. A few days later came a similar lump of meat lying under the body, this is the embryo of the foot. The process of hand and legs forming is usually already starts on the 25th day after fertilization occurs.

By the end of the first month, the various organs of the body that newly formed entirely small size and still so simple, either form would also function. Even if everything is small, but in an embryo’s body has been going on the metabolic processes that can sustain its survival.
